When someone publishes or edits a tip, AI extracts information about how suitable the place is for families — for example, whether a crib or shallow pool is available, or whether it is quiet at night.

AI can also suggest a new detail we do not track yet. A person must approve it before it appears in search or on a place profile.

Families can always view the original tip and assess the source text themselves.

Search understands plain-language queries and compares them with family-fit information and tip content.

It also draws on an ontology of related terms. A place confirmed to have a waterpark may appear in a search for a kids' pool; we always label this kind of inferred match.

If we do not have information about a feature, that does not automatically mean the place lacks it. You can set must-have filters for stricter results.

Summaries based on published tips are created with AI and always labelled as such.

They help you get oriented quickly, but they are not final verdicts. The original parent tips remain the source of truth.

AI does not make moderation or policy decisions on its own.

We have guardrails against prompt injection and to detect personal and sensitive information.

If we add a chatbot or trip-planning assistant later, we will clearly label it as AI.
