Kidcation

Terms of Service

Last updated 27 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Kidcation. By using the site or contributing, you agree to them.

Using Kidcation

Kidcation is an independent community project. It helps families share honest, structured tips about kid-friendly hotels and resorts. You may browse freely; contributing requires an account.

You must be at least 15 years old to create an account and contribute.

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your contributions

You keep ownership of what you write, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and process your contributions (including AI extraction of family-fit details) to run the service, including through providers who help us operate it. Contribute only content you have the right to share, and keep it truthful and place-specific.

Tips and comments are user content; their author is responsible for them. If your contribution breaches these terms or third-party rights, you are liable for the damage this causes us.

When you delete your account, your name is unlinked from your contributions. Published tips and derived family-fit details may remain available without any link to you; during account deletion you can also choose to permanently delete the text of your tips.

Acceptable use

Use Kidcation lawfully and respectfully. Do not submit illegal content, spam, fake reviews, paid praise without disclosure, copied content, harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, malware, or personal data you do not have permission to share.

Do not try to disrupt, scrape abusively, reverse engineer, bypass security, or access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.

Community guidelines and moderation

Tips and comments must be genuine, relevant, and respectful. Do not post illegal content, personal contact details, spam, harassment, or anything that isn't your own honest experience.

Anyone can report a tip or comment. Reporting flags it for a human moderator; it is not hidden automatically, so honest negative tips can't be silenced by mass-flagging. If we remove or downrank content, we record and show a statement of reasons, and you can contest it by contacting us.

This section is our notice-and-action mechanism under the Digital Services Act.

Third-party services

Kidcation may use third-party services for sign-in, hosting, AI processing, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and maps. Those services may have their own terms and privacy notices.

We do not control third-party services such as hotels, booking sites, map tile providers, or external websites linked from Kidcation.

Service changes and suspension

Kidcation is an early-stage service. Features, ranking, AI extraction, search behaviour, and availability may change over time.

We may suspend or restrict access if you breach these terms, create security or operational risk, abuse the service, or if we need to comply with law.

We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law, or limit its visibility; the community guidelines and moderation section describes the process and reasoning.

Intellectual property

Kidcation, its design, software, structured data model, and branding belong to the Kidcation operator or its licensors. These terms let you use the service; they do not transfer ownership.

You may link to public Kidcation pages. Do not copy substantial parts of the service, database, interface, or generated summaries to build a competing service.

Liability

Tips and comments are user content. We do not systematically review content before publication; we act as a hosting provider and respond to notices of illegal content using the process described in the moderation section.

Tips reflect individual families' experiences, not our verdict. AI-assisted summaries and family-fit information are aids, not guarantees. Review the original parent tips and official information before making travel decisions.

Kidcation is provided in its current state and scope, subject to availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, travel costs, or decisions you make based on user contributions, AI output, third-party services, or unavailable features.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Changes, law, and termination

We may update these terms as Kidcation changes. We will announce material changes in advance by a reasonable method and state the effective date. If you do not agree with the changes, stop using the service or delete your account; continued use after the effective date means you accept them.

You may stop using Kidcation at any time. Some sections, including contribution licences, moderation records, liability, and legal terms, continue after access ends.

These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not limit the protection provided by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.

If any provision of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
